5/12/07 Okay, so here's the deal. For a time in high school/college, I was addicted to soap operas. VERY addicted. At one point in high school, I taped/watched 6 soaps (Guiding Light, Port Charles, Days of our Lives, All My Children, Passions, General Hospital). Sick, right? Believe me, I know. I blame my babysitter Jeanie. She got me hooked on Guiding Light in 5th grade when I was home sick from school. Anyhoo, in the midst of my addiction, I discovered banner making. For the uninitiated, banners are images that you put in your signature on message boards so that every time you make a post, the picture (banner) is at the bottom of your post. Oh yes, I posted on LOTS of soap opera message boards. My main show was Days of our Lives, although I was still a Guiding Light fan. So I created this website and made banners for fellow soap opera aficionados.

When I went into the working world, I completely lost interest in my shows. As you can see below, my last real update was on 9/5/05... the same month I was hired at my job. Oh sure, I might watch once in a blue moon if I'm home... but for the most part, I've completely lost touch with it. I still enjoy messing around with graphic art, but I mainly do Patriots stuff now. I'm a HUGE fan of the New England Patriots. I leave this site up because there IS a lot of content here in the directories, although I do realize they are not the most user-friendly things in the world to navigate. So feel free to use whatever you find here, and I do upload new Patriots content and miscellaneous stuff quite frequently, but this main page isn't going to be changing... you'd have to dig in the directories to see what's new. ;) So if you're game, check it out.

1/23/07 I am not updating the site at this time. As I create banners, they will be added to the directories, but I am not making any other updates to the site right now.

9/6/05 My newest banners can be found HERE... check it out! I have added forums for banner makers and banner requests as well.

10/30/04 Wow, it's been a long time since I last updated!!! There's a reason for that, though! With the help of some great banner makers, soapysuds.net is expanding!! If you are interested in having YOUR work uploaded onto and featured on my site, please email me. All my banners have been reorganized into new categories, but they can be accessed the same way, through the directory. The URLs HAVE changed, so be sure to get the new ones... the old ones are no longer working. Be sure to check back for new banners often, as they will be added much more frequently now. :)

8/23/04 Thanks to Mia_Devlin over at SoapCity, I have a new obsession... making blinkies! I have made several for use in message board signatures, etc... just give me credit when you use them! They are located in the blinkies directory, accessible from the menu at left. Check them out!! Here are a couple examples:

7/16/04 I've done several J&J banners recently, if anyone is interested.  I also added links to Days of our Lives and Guiding Light meetups... I guess you meet up with people from your area who watch the shows.  I don't really know a whole lot about it but it seemed like something interesting to look into.  I also added a link to NBC SoapBox... check it out.

7/5/04 The recommend form is FINALLY up!!!  I gave up trying to make the form myself (well, I made the form, but was having trouble figuring out how/where to save the results to), so I used formsite.com.  Quality site.  :D  I can only have ten results at a time on their site though, so I will visit formsite.com each day and copy, then delete the results there.  So if you try to recommend a site and it doesn't work, give it a few hours and try again.  (Check my 6/17 update if you have no idea what I'm even talking about... recommend WHA??)  I really appreciate any contribution you can make!  Please don't think "oh, she must already have that site... it's so obvious" or think that a site you are thinking of recommending is too obscure to include.  I want to know about ALL your sites!!!  :D  Thanks in advance for your help!!!

7/4/04 How do you like them frames?  :D  The whole site is re-formatted to work with the frames.  I even fixed the old wallpaper pages to look like the rest of the site.  I can't really see what the version without frames looks like though, so if there's something really wrong with it, let me know, please!!  I also added the Days cast list.  I will do my best to keep it current.  If I'm ever lagging in that, feel free to give me an email kick in the butt to fix it!

6/17/04 Photobucket link is gone, as is the rant board as it wasn't being used.  Eventually, I may re-open forums on this site, but for now you should all go to MsTennille's Irish Pub.  I'm a moderator over there and MsT has the best boards for Days (and now ATWT, GL, GH, and Passions) that I've seen on the Net.  Another thing I'm working on is an index of Days message boards.  Soon there will be a link on this page to allow you to recommend sites.  Check back soon!  As soon as I have the form working, it'll be up!!  This index will only be great with your help... there's no way I know about all the boards out there!!!  The goal is to include as many sites as possible, no matter how large, small, or what their subject matter is (as long as it's Days, of course!).
